We are located in Brownville, Maine which is in Southern Piscataquis County. Dillon's Gunsmoke lodge is nestled in an interior region of Maine that is well known for it's trophy black bear hunting. Just a 30 minute drive north from the LaGrange exit off I-95 will bring you right to our door step and it provides easy access to Maine's remote forests and the natural beauty of the northern reach of the Appalachian Mountain chain.
When you arrive at the Lodge you'll be greeted by Wayne Dillon, a Registered Master Maine Guide and his wife, Grace. Our private/semi-private rooms have private bathrooms and are clean and comfortable. You will be served 3 delicious and hearty home cooked meals, family style, daily.

Archery Bear Hunting
Archery Bear Hunts are offered during bait season, August/September. Stands are set for around a 20 yard shot. Several record book bears, including Pope and Young Club Bears have been taken.

- Big Game Hunting: $116.00
- Black Bear Permit (September/October): $76.00
- Archery (October): $76.00
- Muzzle Loader: $71.00
- Jr. Hunter (10-15 yrs): $36.00
- Late Fall Bear Permit (Nov. permit) for those non-residents wishing to do deer/bear combos: $42.00

Arrive Sunday after 2:00pm, depart the following Saturday by 8:00am. Please, no early arrivals.
